Stormy Beliard: Diplomatic immunity pertains to a foreign official, not from America. If you are not working for an American company and it you did not pay into the Social Security fund through regular payroll deductions for at least 10 years, there will be no Social Security retirement. If you are very low income and you are a legal resident of the U.S. you can apply for supplemental social security and Medicaid but only if you also meet other criteria such as disabled, pregnant, blind, minor children and in some states, a new immigrant. If you have diplomatic immunity you would probably not be low income and you probably have not worked for an American company and paid into our tax system....Show more
Robin Tommie: I answered this question before, so let me attempt another try. If you are a foreigner in the United States under Diplomatic Immunity, you do not contribute to American taxes, nor are you a "resident alien," and thus you are ineligible for public servi! ces like Social Security or Medicaid. If you are in the United States under diplomatic immunity, why would you even need them? You must be a full time registered employee subject to American taxes, in possession of a social security number and you must make contributions for at least 10 years before you are eligible for Social Security at age 62. As one with diplomatic immunity, you DO NOT possess a social security number, you DO NOT pay American taxes, and you ARE NOT eligible. To be eligible for medicaid you must be at least a resident alien. As one with diplomatic immunity you are NOT a resident, and as one who is employed you ARE NOT poor, and thus, you ARE NOT eliglible. Got it?...Show more
