Merna Fauset: That really depends upon the make of the car, a Honda you can expect to live forever, also is it a diesel engine, they last longer. Fords engines last a long time, but their ignitions go out quickly, also Dodge has automatic transmission problems. I would say don't buy one with more that 60,000-70,000 miles.
Moises Rupinski: Depends on the car some go 80,000 some go 300,00 plus. I'd have to say from personal experience first major repair around 150,000 miles. I always made sure to have most preventive maintenance done.
Veta Slicker: Depends a lot on maintenance, luck and how you drive it. My car has 275,000 miles on it and runs fine.
Katheryn Skrobacki: Depends on the manufacturer. Most cars are built to last 100,000 miles before their 1st scheduled tune-up these days, so about then.
Gordon Showes: Depends which car maker ur talking about..... Subaru/nissan/honda/Toyota... 250000Ford/Chevy.... 50000buick/chrysler/dodge/mercury/ olds! mobile ... start worrying wen u buy iteach company has good n bad... subaru n toyota makes no bad cars.. nissan n honda make very few bad 1s... ford n otha usa makers make mostly bad ones.. but a few that are reliable for 200000 (ford F-150, chrysler le baron)...Show more
Helen Zafar: At 50,000 Miles cars start going downhill......most are dead by 100,000...
