Nedra Oltz: Car is only as safe as the person who drives it,And WTF do you mean tire problems or Gas problems, tires you replace every 40 to 50 thousand miles, period Gas is used quickly in a car,I have a Mitsubishi montero 2002 its my work rig, 177,800 miles runs like new has four wheel disc brakes air bags and get the same milage as all the SUV,s on the road today, I,ll put 250,000 on this rig easy
Whitney Saborido: I owned a 2001 VW for almost 15 years because I really liked the ride
Brenton Cornwall: so sad..IF you had the internet YOU,,, yes YOU could look it up
Donnie Bolio: It depends entirely on how they have been driven and maintained by the previous owners. The Asian vehicles tend to have the best reputation for reliability with minimal upkeep, but you cannot beat a Volvo for safety and properly maintained they can go a lot of miles before they're done. I like German cars but have learned from experience not to trust them for reliability past! 15 years and they're expensive to repair. That said, they have among the best safety ratings. I personally own a 1993 Toyota truck with 230,000 miles, and I have done next to no maintenance on it besides changing fluids, replacing tires, belts and hoses, a clutch (once), brake pads, and an alternator. That's it for 20 years of ownership. I have also owned two other used Toyotas and pretty much the same story. I owned a 2001 VW for almost 15 years because I really liked the ride, handling and comfort but I swear that it always had something going wrong with it. I finally got fed up and sold it a few months ago and it had hardly more that 100,000 on it. I've owned Chevys, Fords and Dodges too. Too much maintenance after they were out of warranty. But my old Toyota truck, they'll probably bury me with that in another 20 years....Show more
Gaylord Barragan: Honda and Toyotas are the most reliable cars in America, but 1996-2002 cars are old and would need maintenance and ! repairs to keep in good shape. I suggest newer Honda or Toyot! a cars.
