answers1:In some ways it's easier, because movies have all the
promotion done for them, whereas authors are expected to create their
audience. Most authors have their own websites, blogs, public
Facebook pages to become a fan of, etc. There's also book signings
and things like that. Meeting an author in person, unless they're
hosting a book signing, is going to be difficult. But in this age of
the internet, you don't have to. (I follow one of my favorite authors
when she posts her blogs, and was momentarily given over to fan girl
rapture when she responded to one of my comments.) Some authors allow
contact through email or myspace or something similar. Others,
unfortunately, are nearly impossible to contact. Some people like
their privacy, and you can only send mail to the publishing house.
They will not give out addresses, phone numbers, or email
addresses....Show more
answers2:You could always contact the author via their publisher. The
publisher is likely to know if the author is doing any signings in
your area. That way, you could meet them in person.
answers3:i've got contacted little-time-honored Australian author
Felicity Pulman via potential of facebook email. (Wow... that makes me
sound like a stalker!) I only complete the 4th e book of an incomplete
sequence via her, and contacted her to a million) tell her how
incredible her books have been & 2) to invite if and while the final 2
books have been going to be printed. She replied a pair of hours
later, asserting thank you & giving me information related to the
subsequent 2 books interior the sequence. She became very type. :)
considering the fact that then, i've got found her blog, and now only
study updates each few months on that instead....Show more
