Business Administration or International Business degree?

Vern Serratos: Business Administration is still in the TOP 6 Degrees that Employers are looking for. And, it was my Major - it served me well, and I ended up in a Management roll in the high tech industry (making well over 6 figures). The great thing about a BBA is that you'll learn all facets of business - marketing, accounting, economics, management, etc. BA grads can work in any field. International Business sounds very cosmopolitan, and makes people dream about foreign travel and international job postings. The reality is, though, that there just aren't near as many International Business jobs as there are graduates, so, the majority of grads end up in regular middle management roles in a U.S. company.If you want to own your own business, then Business Admin makes more sense (look for a program that specializes in Entrepreneurial Business). Unless the business you want to go into is Import/Export, in which case, International Business makes more sense....Show more
